For over five decades, TRANSAGENT LEHAG Handelsagentur GmbH has stood for successful contract business in the food sector. As an interface between international producers and buyers in Austria and Central Europe, we bring suppliers from all over the world together with customers from the retail, wholesale and import sectors.

From the 70s to today – the development of TRANSAGENT-LEHAG.
The dawn of a new era
- Foundation of TRANSAGENT in Kufstein by VOG
- In response to structural change in the retail sector and decline in traditional import business
Mediation instead of import
- Brokerage of import contracts in the areas of dried fruit, rice, fish and fruit preserves
- VOG specialises in working with decentralised customers and weekly deliveries
Relocation to Vienna & strategic merger
- Merger with the Lehag agency
- All of VOG’s international food brand agencies will be consolidated into the new TRANSAGENT-LEHAG agency.
Non-food expansion & bicycle boom
- Entry into the non-food sector with bicycles (Kynast, Quakenbrück)
- Delivery of up to 30,000 bicycles per year to well-known customers such as Hervis, Spar and Konsum
Strong brands enrich our product range
- Expansion of the portfolio to include South African canned fruit from the GOLD REEF brand
- Acquisition of representation for the VIER DIAMANTEN tuna brand
- Canned pineapple from the DOLE brand expands the range
Portfolio expansion & location development
- Tomato preserves from Italian brand MUTTI are added to the product range
- We expand our collaboration with Italian market leaders with the PONTI brand
- Relocation of the Vienna office from Gottfried Keller Gasse to the Nordbahnhof site, home to our sister company IMGRO, in order to further strengthen our collaboration
Experience meets further development
- The IMGRO warehouse is moving to VOG in Linz, so the IMGRO and TRANSAGENT LEHAG offices are moving further into Vienna city centre, to Untere Donaustrasse
- Takeover of MENZ & GASSER brand representation in 2024
