Ponti
Our story has a different flavor.
In 1867, Giovanni Ponti founded a small artisan business for wine and vinegar production in Sizzano, Piedmont. What began as a simple but passionate project has developed over almost a century and a half into a globally respected company – supported by the experience and commitment of five generations of the Ponti family.
Two product groups have been at the heart of the Ponti tradition from the very beginning: the diverse wine vinegars and the fine “Aceto Balsamico di Modena”. The latter is created by slowly blending grape must with fine wine vinegar and acquires its unique character through extensive ageing in fine wooden barrels – made of oak, chestnut, mulberry or juniper. Without any additives, according to the old art. Since 2009, this balsamic vinegar has been awarded the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) – a seal of quality that Ponti is proud to bear and maintains through consistent quality work.
