A key priority for Dole is corporate social responsibility. This is reflected, among other things, in comprehensive programmes for healthcare, educational support, and fair working conditions in the growing regions. Particularly noteworthy is Dole’s production facility in the Philippines, which has been a member of the Rainforest Alliance since June 2013 – a globally active non-profit organisation dedicated to environmental protection, human rights, and sustainable agriculture.
As a visible sign of this commitment, Dole’s premium product, the Tropical Gold Pineapple, proudly bears the Rainforest Alliance seal. Dole has been marketing the particularly sweet and golden yellow “Gold Pineapple” in tins under this brand since 2007 – a true highlight in the canned fruit segment.
Dole Packaged Foods is today a global leader in the field of preserved fruit products and healthy convenience solutions.
